I recently had the opportunity to visit Renee Sheppard at Chicod School in Greenville NC, and was energized to hear about student success in the lab.
Listening to the challenges that were overcome to give students this great experience, I was reminded of a quote.
"If it is something you want to do, you’ll find a way.
If not, you’ll find an excuse."
Renee, isn’t making any excuses; she is making a difference for her students and I couldn’t be happier for them. As you can see from her organizational strategies shown in the images below, students are getting far more than career readiness. They’re getting a lesson on how to overcome challenges and be part of a solution.
