FREE ONLINE RESOURCES
I'd like to share some free useful online tools that I've had luck with during the virtual learning school year:
My Simple Show: https://www.mysimpleshow.com/examples/
This can be used to put together a polished presentation to provide info about steroids (Day 8 in Sports Medicine), or other topics.
Flip Grid: https://info.flipgrid.com/
Students can do a presentation (Day 8 Nursing about vaccines or taking off gloves properly during Day 4 of EMT) and send it to the teacher. They are able to put an emoji over their face during the presentation if they feel more comfortable. I set my class up so that student submissions are private, meaning other students cannot view or comment on presentations submitted. This seems to prevent cyber bullying and any apprehensiveness they may have about "presenting" in front of class.
JamBoard - Google Extension
A white board that kids can write on and/or interact on when they are in break out groups during a Google Meet. A few of my students have submitted time lapse videos of them completing labs for extra credit. For example, I had several students send videos of them completing the Pharmacology Day 2 Compounding Lab activity.
